Dr. Sharadha Ramesh is a Doctorate in Faculty of Nursing from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai and an alumnus of College of Nursing, CMCH, Vellore. Has 34 years of experience that include various cadres of Nursing Service, Education and Research both in India and abroad. University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, USA invited for faculty exchange and had presented various sessions for graduate nurses in 2006. Has travelled extensively to many countries on invitation as key note speaker. Ministry of Health, Kuwait had invited on the occasion of their golden jubilee celebration as a key note speaker to their international conference (2012) and as mentor for their School Health Programme (2009).

Has to her credit many research publications including 65 Scopus, UGC CARE List publications, books and chapters written for nursing with top notch publishers. She is invited editor cum book reviewer for TNAI, National and International Journals. She was invited as resource person for the GNM revised syllabus orientation programme and expert member for Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives council to review the Tamilnadu State Mental health policy draft 2018 and National Health Policy draft 2015 by TNAI, Tamilnadu Branch. One of the resource person for the E- Learning module for Trained Nurses available on the website of Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council in Hematology course. Written chapters in Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives council for text books on Community Health Nursing and Nursing Education.

Possess extempore dialoguing competence both in Tamil and English so was invited by various television channels at Chennai for special speech on different occasions. Has headed forums of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Police training academy, PhD workshops, Hospital Nurse Administrators forums, NGO’s, schools, Teachers Training Academy, Day care schools and yoga for college & school students. Holds crucial positions in various Research and Advisory Committees, Board of Studies, former Senate Member for TN Dr. MGR University, External Expert Member, Academic Council, Human Ethics Committee, University Library Committee Member, University Research Advisory member in various reputed Universities and also Senior Advisor- Nursing Regulations for the UP state Government in association with JHPIEGO. Was one of the International invited panel expert member during 2013-2016 of Beta Nu Delta Inc – An International Philippines nurses society, an appointment given by the President.

Had been conferred various prestigious awards like Sigma Theta Tau – Eta Pi Research award, USA, 2008 Best research paper award, 2010, International Nurses Conference by ICCR & Saskatchewan University Canada, Academic Excellence and Outstanding contribution to Research award from ICCR 2013, Best research paper award in Worldwide Nursing Conference, Singapore 2017, Best Principal award for 2016, Indira College of Nursing, Chennai, Best woman award, March 2017,International Women’s Day, Chennai and Best Administrator award, 2019and Best Nurse Educator Award from Trained Nurses Association of India, Pune chapter. Recently was awarded as Distinguished Director – Gurukul Academic Awards, 2022 by J.S. University, Shikohabad, UP.

She has organized many International, National conferences, seminars and webinar. Organized more than 300 community health camps on various occasions. She is a recognized guide and thesis evaluator for many Universities. Under her leadership Symbiosis College of Nursing, Pune got the Top 10 Nursing Colleges of India by Higher Education Review 2018. Trained Adhoc inspector for Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Peer Team Assessor for NAAC. She joined as Deputy Director Nursing Research cum Professor at Vinayaka Missions College of Nursing and redesignated as Professor cum Principal at Vinayaka Missions College of Nursing Puducherry.
