Red Ribbon Club (RRC)
          Red Ribbon established under pads in the year of 2010 and collaborates with Pondicherry AIDS control society to achieve the national goal. The club focuses on the reduction in prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Pondicherry union territory, unit of which is function in vmcon to create awareness among high-risk groups, adolescents, antenatal mothers, transgender and general public regarding prevention of HIV/AIDS and various groups of students in college and school setting. Also it co- ordinate with state cell throughout the year in , conducting various awareness programmes among the rural public regarding HIV/AIDS

Youth Red Cross (YRC)
          Major group is divided in mini groups like 7-10 member in one group and a senior faculty is assigned with charge. Objective of implementing this concept is to identify the areas of students’ strength and weakness there by the needed support, guidance provided by creating an atmosphere of openness by their mentors, so that meaningful interaction between student and faculty achieved and trustful environment achieved. The mentees are instructed to meet their mentor once in a month to share the difficulties faced by them both personally and professionally

BLS Training
           Youth Red Cross (YRC) is one of the special unit invmcon andactsone of the most important avenues among several national collaborated service schemes available to the students to pursue leadership abilities and to develop all-round personality and character molding. It’s a partof its mother organization, INDIAN RED CROSS society Delhi. It is a student movement organized for students in colleges .YRC in vmcon was established in the academic year 2016–2017. As per the orders of IRCS, Puducherry, activities such as road safety campaign, tree plantation, campus cleaning, rally and mock disaster drill are carried out by the student for their group also to other educational institutions in and around

Placement Cell
          Placement Cell was established with the aim aspiring to provide best career opportunities for nursing students. It plays a key role in coordinating placement activities and guiding them for their successful future placements. It acts as an interface between the academic process of the students and their entry into the world outlook. The final year nursing students are recruited by various organizations in and around the state, and in major cities in India and abroad. The placement activities are arranged and facilitated by the institution during the month of July every year. The cell also proposes to conduct career guidance seminars and workshops to enable the students to become successful professionals. The prospective professionals are willing to take placement in campus recruiters, foreign careers, also higher education in India and foreign countries. The placement cell also keeps track of the changes in demand in the industry and this feedback is incorporated in the teaching and training curriculum. Thus, the students can be prepared well in advance.

Internal compliance committee
          Internal compliance committee / Women Cell upholds the dignity of every woman at vmcon facilitating gender sensitive and congenial working environment, so that women, whether the female employee (contract, casual, temporary and permanent) or female student, are not subjected to gender-specific discrimination or sexual harassment. It also empowers every female in our institute.

Extension Activities
          Extension Activities are considered as one of the community social responsibility.it is backbone of every department of vmcon . Every department takes / shares the responsibility.Number of were carried out to exhibiting institutional & Civic social responsibility. Efforts were made through these extension activities to observe the nations special interest days to serve the local community, society, and nation. Also vital health days are observed regularly for the welfare of public.

National Service Scheme
          NSS is a permanent youth program me under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India for the development of personality of students through community services. The motto of NSS “NOT ME BUT YOU” denotes the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society as a whole. One NSS unit consists of 100 students as volunteers and one program me officer.

Journal Club
          Faculty development fasted through journal club presentations inupdating the recent scientific knowledge by sharing information through Journal Club which meets every month. We organize a series of illuminating presentations on various topics by the faculty, Post graduate students to enhance and update their knowledge in the field of Nursing.
